Hotel Mystique

Hotel Mystique is a PWYW Premium comic by CBlack. Doug Mason is a participant in a secretive contest at the luxurious Hotel Mystique. He'll have to complete a series of challenges to win the grand prize of one million dollars. Doug's confident, he's always been a winner, but to what lengths will he go in order to nab the prize?

It's the inaugural edition of Scavenger's Paradise. Twelve contestants will be assigned various challenges over seven days. The remaining 300 guests at the hotel will be blissfully unaware that there is a contest taking place around them… and no one will realize that Doug is going to game the system

He's recruited Wendy, a chubby young woman who worships the ground he walks on to also be a contestant, but her goal won't be to win, but instead be a second pair of eyes on the ground and help Doug nab that million dollar prize.

The challenges won’t be easy, but Doug feels confident he can finish first. His plan is unscrupulous, but it’s also one that might actually work.

What Doug doesn’t know is that there are other forces at play in the hotel… ones that can alter the nature of the players who are playing the game

Doug lingers too long in the sun and finds the ointment they gave him at the front desk to treat it makes his skin pink and hairless. And is his hair suddenly longer... and blonder?

And Doug isn't the only one who is changing. Wendy is growing more svelte as each day passes. The girl everyone always ignored is suddenly turning heads when she enters a room.

There are many changes taking place among the contestants, and as his body grows more and more feminine, Doug realizes he's going to have to shift and use different tactics to win the prize money!

How will things play out for the twelve people participating in the secret contest? Will anyone be the same person they were when they first arrived at Hotel Mystique? 

This is a CBlack comic, so the way the story unfolds is wonderful, and the twists and turns that take place make Hotel Mystique a very special comic. Nobody tells a TG tale quite like CBlack! :)

Hotel Mystique comes in at 595 single-panel pages and is seven chapters long. The suggested price for this comic is $10, but you can PWYW... anywhere from $3 on up. We're not offering a FREE OPTION for this comic, so you'll have to pay a minimum of $3 if you want to read Hotel Mystique. Of course, you can choose to pay much more if you love CBlack and TGComics.com. It's up to you!

Because we don't publish a CBlack comic every day, we're going to make this a true event by posting it over the course of six days. We're releasing Chapters 1 and 2 on Saturday, April 12. We'll post Chapter 3 on Sunday, April 13th, and we'll keep on posting a chapter a day until the seventh and final chapter goes up on Thursday, April 17th. In other words, you'll have to wait until Thursday, April 17th to read the complete comic, but we're hoping you'll sign on up Day 1 so you can read how Doug handles the the initial challenges he faces in the contest.

Hotel Mystique is something of a slow build, as many of the best comics are. The changes that Doug undergoes are gradual, and they seem to be mental as well as physical.

I should also mention that Hotel Mystique was originally published on CBlack's Patreon, but it's not exactly the version you'll see here on TGC. The story has been tweaked slightly, the layout of the balloons on every page has been redone, and we've made cover pages for each chapter. Finally, we've revamped the cover. So even if you've seen Hotel Mystique before, you haven't seen this version of the comic!

It's always a thrill to publish a new comic by CBlack, and Hotel Mystique is one of his finest. Doug Mason is egotistical and over-confident, so it's fun to see how the contest he enters humbles him. There's something supernatural inside the walls of the Hotel Mystique, and seeing how the contest plays out is quite wonderful. Great work by CBlack. I hope you'll check it out!
