Fame Isn't Everything

Fame Isn't Everything is a TGC Premium comic by CarJim and Tom Reynolds. It's a wonderful, hand-drawn comic that tells a tale that is set in the Golden Age of Hollywood, and features a young actor who wishes he could be a star (instead of a second banana). His dreams will come true... but in a far different way than he ever imagined! 

It's a great collaboration between CarJim and Tom Reynolds. The comic comes in at 83 multi-paneled pages in five chapters, and we've now released all five chapters  A PDF of the complete comic is available for downloading (as well as PDFs of the five individual chapters if that's your preference).

Art Brown is a young man who has been trying to make it in the movies, but he always seems to get cast as the sidekick. His latest film at Peak Studios allows him to work with the venerable cowboy star and leading man, Claude Cutler. But while Claude gets to shoot a love scene with the gorgeous Gloria Fletcher, Art has to head up in the mountains, to film a scene where he will be washed away by a raging river.

But something happens to Art when he’s up on that mountain. He makes an errant wish about wanting to be a major star, the one who gets to shoot love scenes, and then he stumbles across an ancient magic artifact, and then… everything changes for the young actor! 

Art is transformed into a buxom blonde. He’s thinking perhaps he should sue Peak Studios, somehow get them to fix things, but they make Art an offer he can’t refuse. If he keeps things quiet and plays along… they’ll make him a star!
