Altered Fates 02: Bottoms Up

Altered Fates 02: Bottoms Up is a Premium comic by JoJoTF, and it’s a sequel to Altered Fates 01: Fait Accompli, a comic that was adapted from the classic TG tale by Raven.

JoJoTF took us to the end of Raven’s story at the end of Altered Fates 01: Fait Accompli, so Altered Fates 02: Bottoms Up is all new territory. 

Altered Fates 02: Bottoms Up picks up where Volume 1 in the series left off, with Melody, the beautiful blonde who a day earlier was a middle-aged man named Harry Ash, in the tub… and getting intimately familiar with her new female form.

If you don’t recall, Altered Fates 01: Fait Accompli told the tale of Harry and Maggie, a middle-aged couple with one son named Mark. Mark was home from college on spring break, and angry because he had a date with a gorgeous girl named Cindy Sue, a girl he had been dreaming of hooking up with since high school. But Mark had to cancel because his dad wouldn’t let him use the car. And so, with the help of a witch he’d met online, Mark was determined to pay his dad back by casting a little spell that caused enormous changes!

Well, at least that’s what Mark and Harry think. There’s another twist or two that we need not reveal here. Basically, Harry becomes a 20-year-old blonde hottie, and Maggie is passing this girl off as Melody, Mark’s sister and her daughter.

Melody finds it far too easy to call Maggie “Mom.” And due to various circumstances, the newly minted girl has agreed to go out on a double date with Mark. He’ll finally be going out with Cindy Sue, the girl of his dreams, and Melody will be his wingwoman, going out with Cindy Sue’s cousin Richard.

They’ll be traveling in Melody’s classic muscle car. And if you think she’s going to let Mark behind the wheel for even one second, well, you haven’t quite realized just how spunky Melody is.

You should know that the entirety of Altered Fates 02: Bottoms Up takes place in a single night… Melody’s first night as a woman. And Bottoms Up is a very accurate indication of what’s going on, in that the double date expands when the couples arrive at a bar named The Red Admiral and meet up with some of Cindy Sue’s female friends from college… some lovely young women who just so happen to not always have been that way.
